THE FACILITY
Kelly boards her personal and training horses at Bayus Stables, a facility conveniently central to Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Ayr, and surrounding areas.
An excellent care and feeding program is integral to any training program, as is individualized care and attention, which this facility offers. Your horse will receive:
- Daily turnout, weather permitting, in safely fenced fields, individual or small groups.
- Large welcoming stall, bedded with shavings over mats.
- Quality hay, grown on property
- Individualized grain program
- Blankets, flymasks and boots on/off if necessary
- Large indoor arena (updated footing), outdoor ring (new footing), grass ring, acres of private hacking, cross country fences, roundpen, wash stall with hot/cold water.
- Experienced caring staff, manager lives on-site.
Please note that pasture board is not offered at this time. Extended turnout/night turnout is available in the warmer months.
PROGRAMS OFFERED
- Starting horses and ponies in groundwork, and under saddle
- Refresher courses for remedial types
- Problem solving for horses with difficulties
-Lessons for you in the basics, so that you can maintain your horse’s training
-Sporthorse program for owners/breeders with young horses being prepared for the show ring -- hunters/jumpers, dressage, and eventing.
2012 RATES (all include HST)
TRAINING
Full training – includes stall board, full care (services below marked with *), and 5 sessions per week (two of which may be used as lessons if desired).
$1050/mth
Part training – includes stall board and 3 sessions per week (one of which may be used as a lesson).
$850/mth
Extra ride or lesson for horse in training program: $25
Single/intermittent training rides for horses not in regular program: $30
Light exercise ride or lunge (up to half hour): $20
LESSONS
One-hour private, in-barn: $30
Half hour private, in-barn: $20
One-hour private, at your facility: $40
Rates increase for barns outside half hour travel radius.
REHAB BOARD
Includes stall board and a rehab program that can be tailored to your horse, including services such as: stall rest, supervised arena turnout, small paddock turnout, handwalking, wrapping, cold hosing, bandage changes, medications/injections, stretching, grooming/attention/goodies, special feeding program, and holding for appointments (easy access to excellent vets, chiropractors, equine bodyworkers, massage therapists, farriers, equine acupressure/acupuncture, and more). *Owner responsible for supplying all bandaging materials/medical supplies/medications, etc.
$1000/mth (negotiable depending on horse’s needs)
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
*Mane pulling: $20
*Trimming (bridle path, ears, fetlocks, muzzle): $15
*Holding for routine vet/farrier: $10
Trace clip: $80
Body clip: $100
Braiding: $25
Coaching/grooming at shows: Varies depending on show and number of students.
Catch riding at shows: Varies depending on type and location of show.
This lovely trainer was GREAT!! I received regular reports, lots of support during his training, and got an awesome boy back after all was said and done. I was more than welcome to come up and see her work with him, and visit with him and even had lessons and pointers from her, so that I could continue on with him on my own.
